Additionally, CPAP machines are used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). They are also used to treat obesity hypoventilation syndrome (a situation that occurs in which some obese individuals where poor breathing causes lower oxygen and higher carbon dioxide levels in the blood), pneumonia, asthma flare-up, poor breathing after surgery, cardiopulmonary disorder, or neurological disease or neuromuscular disorder that disturbs breathing.

What Are the Philips CPAP Machine Side Effects?

​CPAP machines can reduce the symptoms of sleep apnea and improve a person's quality of life. SoClean filed an amended complaint alleging that ​Philips has known for years that the foam could cause “serious risk of harm,” but instead of warning the public, it engaged in a public smear campaign against SoClean.
